Open canoeing out through even small waves and into the wind is a decent work out, but having made it out of Cai Bach near New Quay I had a lot of fun surfing back inn, a great way to test ones understanding of trim both for getting out beyond the break line and for surfing effectively back in.
Great fun and hard work... its funny how those to go together some times.
